Integrations
Zigbee, Matter, MQTT and Tuya — one platform underneath.
IoTiq is built to speak the protocols smart-home devices already use, rather than asking every manufacturer to build for IoTiq specifically. Each integration below is at a different stage of maturity — we label that honestly rather than treating them as equally ready.
Zigbee
IoTiq’s Zigbee support is built on Zigbee2MQTT and coordinator hardware from Texas Instruments and Silicon Labs chipsets. This is the most mature integration today.
Matter
Matter-over-Thread support is being built and requires the IoTiq Matter Controller plus a compatible Thread Border Router. It is not yet at feature parity with Zigbee.
MQTT
MQTT is the local message bus that ties Zigbee (via Zigbee2MQTT) and other integrations together inside the Hub, and is available for advanced users and integrators to connect their own tooling.
Tuya
Tuya-based Wi-Fi devices are common and often cloud-dependent by default. IoTiq is evaluating a Tuya integration path; it is not available yet.
Building an Integration
IoTiq’s developer side is coming.
IoTiq is designed to let developers build and extend device and integration support, similar to how other smart-home platforms grow their device catalogue through community and partner contributions. Details on the SDK, API and integration quality levels will be published on our Developers pages as they become available.
Availability, feature parity and hardware requirements differ by integration and change as development progresses. Always check the Compatible Devices page for the current status of a specific model before purchasing.
