IoTiq is an app for controlling and automating smart-home devices from many brands, built on top of Home Assistant. You don’t need to buy your devices from IoTiq to use it — devices that work with Home Assistant can join the same system.
Development status: the IoTiq app and Connector described on this page are in active development and available through early access only. Today we supply, pre-configure and support devices from established brands that work with Apple Home, Google Home or Home Assistant. Our own IoTiq app, built on Home Assistant, is in early access — see the roadmap for what is live.

The interface you use to view devices, build automations and manage your home or business — on your phone or the web.
Home Assistant + IoTiq Connector
Home Assistant runs on a small computer in your home, talks to your Zigbee, Matter and Wi-Fi devices and runs local automations. The IoTiq Connector links it securely to the app.

Sensors, plugs, lights and locks — from IoTiq, or from any brand documented on our compatibility page.

IoTiq is not tied to one hardware line.
Today, IoTiq sells and installs devices from established Zigbee and Matter brands. Either way, the app and Connector are the same — a device bought elsewhere and a device bought from IoTiq are set up the same way, subject to the compatibility status documented for that exact model.

Bringing your own device works best when its exact model, firmware and hardware revision appear on our Compatible Devices page. Support varies by model — we do not guarantee every device from a supported brand will work identically.
Local Where It Matters
Your home keeps working when the internet doesn’t.
Home Assistant runs device control and offline-critical automations on your own network, so lights, locks and sensors keep responding during an internet outage. The IoTiq app, remote access, mobile alerts and optional AI features use the internet and IoTiq’s cloud.
Runs on your network
Offline-critical automations run in Home Assistant, not a remote data centre, so they don’t depend on your internet connection.
Clear about what syncs
When you use the IoTiq app, device states, activity and commands sync through IoTiq’s servers. AI features are processed in the cloud only if you turn them on. Some devices also use their manufacturer’s cloud (Google Nest, for example).
Independent of any single vendor
Because IoTiq builds on Home Assistant and open protocols, your home isn’t locked to one manufacturer’s cloud — and your devices keep working in Home Assistant even without IoTiq.
