The IoTiq Platform

One app for a smart home—no matter where the devices came from.

IoTiq is a local-first platform that discovers, controls and automates smart-home devices from multiple ecosystems through a single Hub and app. You don’t need to buy your devices from IoTiq to use it — compatible Zigbee and Matter devices you already own can join the same system.

Local-first, not cloud-dependent Works across ecosystems, not one brand

What IoTiq Actually Is

A Hub, an app, and the devices in between.

Three layers working together, kept on your own network rather than routed through someone else’s cloud.

Layer 1

IoTiq App

The interface you use to view devices, build automations and manage your home or business — on your phone or the web.

Layer 2

IoTiq Hub

Local hardware that speaks Zigbee, Matter and MQTT directly, runs your automations, and keeps working even if the internet doesn’t.

Layer 3

Your Devices

Sensors, plugs, lights and locks — from IoTiq, or from any brand documented on our compatibility page.

Buy Anywhere, Control With IoTiq

IoTiq is not tied to one hardware line.

Today, IoTiq sells and installs devices from established Zigbee and Matter brands. IoTiq-branded hardware is planned for the future. Either way, the app and Hub are the same — a device bought elsewhere and a device bought from IoTiq are set up the same way, subject to the compatibility status documented for that exact model.

If you buy through IoTiq

  • Pre-configured and tested before it ships
  • Professional installation available
  • Manufacturer warranty honoured

If you already own devices

  • Check the model against our Compatible Devices list
  • Pair it to your IoTiq Hub yourself, or book installation help
  • Same app, same automations, same local-first control

Bringing your own device works best when its exact model, firmware and hardware revision appear on our Compatible Devices page. Support varies by model — we do not guarantee every device from a supported brand will work identically.

Why Local-First

Your home keeps working when the internet doesn’t.

Cloud-first smart-home platforms route every command through a remote server. IoTiq’s Hub runs discovery, control and automation logic locally on your network, so lights, locks and sensors keep responding even during an outage. An internet connection is still used for remote access and mobile alerts.

Runs on your network

Automations execute on the Hub itself, not a remote data centre, so response times don’t depend on your internet connection.

Data stays on your property

Device state and automation history are stored locally by default, in line with how IoTiq positions its broader product line.

Independent of any single vendor

Because IoTiq speaks Zigbee, Matter and MQTT directly, your home isn’t locked to the continued existence of one manufacturer’s cloud service.
