Why It’s Different
The light stays on when you’re still. Not just when you move.
Standard motion sensors think a room is empty when you sit still for five minutes. mmWave radar detects the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe — a room with a person in it stays lit, heated and monitored.
Detects you even sitting still
Standard PIR sensors declare a room empty when you stop moving. mmWave detects micro-movements including breathing.
No camera, no footage
mmWave radar produces no image, no recording and no video data — suitable even for bedrooms and bathrooms.
Fall detection, no wearable
When posture suddenly shifts from upright to floor-level and stays there, the sensor alerts designated contacts.
Tracks up to 10 people
Position, posture and movement of multiple occupants in large rooms — know which zones are occupied in real time.
Half-metre zone precision
Define custom zones — desk, bed, sofa. Each zone triggers different automations, configurable through the app.
Works with lighting, heating & security
Lights respond to real presence, not guessed occupancy. Heating adjusts to occupied rooms. Security arms when zones are clear.

How It Works
Placed, configured and
tested before we leave.
Room assessment
We map each room’s dimensions and identify optimal sensor placement for full coverage without blind spots.
Zone definition
Together we define which zones in each room should trigger which automations, before the sensor goes up.
Mounting & wiring
Sensors mounted at the correct height and angle for the room size. Cable management clean and concealed.
Calibration
Each sensor calibrated to exclude areas outside your zone boundaries, reducing false triggers from adjacent rooms.
Integration testing
Every automation triggered by the sensor is tested — lights, thermostat, security — and confirmed correct.
Alert configuration
Fall detection alerts set up for designated contacts with the right delay and sensitivity for your household.

FAQ
Common questions.
Can the sensor see through walls?+−
mmWave radar has some ability to detect motion through thin walls. We account for this during placement and use exclusion zones to prevent neighbouring rooms from triggering false alerts.
Does it work in a bathroom?+−
Yes. This is one of the most valuable locations, especially for elderly monitoring or fall detection. No footage is produced, making it fully privacy-preserving.
Can it tell the difference between a person and a pet?+−
Yes. The sensor tracks movement patterns and posture at human height, so a cat or dog moving along the floor is distinguished from a standing or seated person.
What happens if the sensor detects a fall?+−
After a configurable delay (default 60 seconds), an alert is sent to designated contacts by phone notification. A longer delay reduces false alerts from people sitting on the floor intentionally.
Does it need an internet connection?+−
The sensor works locally. Alerts require an internet connection to reach your phone when you’re away; local automations like lights and heating work even without internet.
How much does a presence sensor cost?+−
A single mmWave presence sensor starts at $350–$550 depending on the room size and integration complexity. Multi-room orders are priced per room.
How is this different from a motion sensor?+−
Motion sensors detect movement only and fail when someone is still. Presence sensors detect that a person is in the room regardless of movement, using breathing and micro-movement detection.
Can I add this to an existing smart home system?+−
In most cases yes. Our primary sensor model is Matter-compatible and integrates with Apple HomeKit, Google Home and Home Assistant — we confirm compatibility before you order.
