Home Starter works today with the ecosystem you already use (Apple HomeKit, Google Home or Home Assistant); the same sensors are expected to carry forward once the IoTiq Hub ships. Can I add more sensors or devices later?+−
Yes. Home Starter devices are Matter-compatible, so adding a camera, a lock or more sensors later just means pairing them to the same app you’re already using.
Do I need a dedicated IoTiq Hub for this to work?+−
No. Home Starter is designed to work through Apple HomeKit, Google Home or Home Assistant today. IoTiq’s own local-first Hub is still in active development — see the roadmap for current status.
Is there a monthly subscription fee?+−
No. Local storage and processing mean no subscription is required for core functionality, consistent with every product IoTiq sells.
How long does setup actually take?+−
Most Starter setups are running in under an hour, including remote setup support — there’s no scheduled technician visit required.
