Why People Use It
Smart devices that don’t talk to each other aren’t very smart.
One system, not five apps.
Lights, locks, thermostat, cameras and speakers from different brands, working together in one place.
Routines that run themselves.
Mornings, departures and bedtime handled without a checklist or a single tap.
Speak naturally.
Voice commands set up for how you actually talk, not the default phrases.
How It Works
Automations run in your home, not in a cloud.
Home
● Home mode · everyone in
Every device you own, checked for compatibility with the system you choose.
Morning, away, arrival, bedtime and anything else your household does every day.
Automations run on the controller at home, even when the internet is down.

- Controller: a small local computer running Home Assistant, with Zigbee and Thread radios for local devices.
- Ecosystems: Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa connect for voice control; Matter devices can join all of them.
- Offline: automations run locally; voice assistants and remote access need the internet.
- Backups: automatic configuration backups so your setup can be restored if the controller fails.
- Remote access: secure remote access through Home Assistant’s own service or an encrypted connection.
- App: today, the Home Assistant app plus your voice assistant. The IoTiq app is in early access and is not required.

Know What You’re Getting
Clear about what it does — and what it doesn’t.
Your exact configuration, in writing
Before you order, your quote lists every device, its quantity, where it goes and which features it supports.
Manufacturer-backed hardware
Every device carries its manufacturer’s warranty. We tell you the warranty length for each one in your quote.
Honest about compatibility
Not every device works well in every system. We check each model first and tell you if something is cloud-only or not worth connecting.

Four questions to think about before you order
Not sure? That’s fine — we check them with you during the free assessment.
Which smart devices do you already own?Brand and model for each — we check compatibility first.
Which voice assistant do you use?Alexa, Google or Siri, or none.
What do you wish happened automatically?Lights at sunset, heat when you’re on your way home, locks at bedtime.
Who else lives there?Everyone gets access, and routines that suit them.
Privacy & data handling
Device states, automations and history are stored on the controller in your home, not on an IoTiq server. Voice commands are processed by your voice assistant’s maker, as they are today. Some devices rely on their maker’s cloud; we confirm in writing which before you order. How IoTiq handles data →
