Sound Recognition Alert System
Your home hears what cameras miss.
A listening device that recognises sounds like breaking glass, a smoke or CO alarm, a crying baby or a barking dog — and responds in seconds. Sounds are analysed at home and nothing is recorded.

Why People Use It
Some emergencies are heard before they’re seen.
Hear the alarm when you’re away.
Your smoke or CO alarm sounds in an empty house. You get an alert on your phone within seconds.
Glass breaks in the dark.
Breaking glass turns on the lights and starts camera recording before anyone gets inside.
The right response for each sound.
A crying baby sends a gentle notification; a smoke alarm alerts everyone; a barking dog is just logged.
How It Works
Recognised at home, not uploaded anywhere.
Home Sounds
● Listening · nothing recorded
Placed centrally, usually high on a wall or shelf, away from the TV and appliances.
Each sound is matched to a category on-site; the audio itself is not stored.
Lights, camera recording, a phone alert — a different action for each sound you choose.

- Listening device: a compact indoor device used for its microphone; video and audio recording are switched off.
- Processor: a small local computer with an AI accelerator, running open-source audio recognition and Home Assistant; it can also run camera recognition later.
- Sounds: common categories include breaking glass, smoke and CO alarm tones, a crying baby, barking and prolonged coughing. We test each one you choose during setup.
- Responses: set per sound in Home Assistant, which runs on the same processor: lights, camera recording, alerts.
- Audio: analysed in short moments and discarded; no clips are saved or uploaded.
- App: today, alerts use the Home Assistant mobile app. The IoTiq app is in early access and is not required.

Know What You’re Getting
Clear about what it does — and what it doesn’t.
Your exact configuration, in writing
Before you order, your quote lists every device, its quantity, where it goes and which features it supports.
Manufacturer-backed hardware
Every device carries its manufacturer’s warranty. We tell you the warranty length for each one in your quote.
Alerts, not emergency response
It tells you and your contacts what it heard. It doesn’t replace certified smoke or CO alarms and doesn’t call the fire department.

Four questions to think about before you order
Not sure? That’s fine — we check them with you during the free assessment.
Which sounds matter most to you?Alarms, glass, a baby, a dog — each gets its own response.
Where is the most central spot?Somewhere that hears the whole floor, away from the TV.
How noisy is the home normally?Busy households need more careful tuning.
Do you have cameras or smart lights?Sounds can trigger them; we confirm compatibility.
Privacy & data handling
Audio is analysed on the processor in your home in short moments and then discarded. No conversations or clips are recorded, stored or uploaded, and video on the listening device is switched off. Only the recognised category, time and location are kept — for example “smoke alarm, kitchen, 6:02 PM”. How IoTiq handles data →
FAQ

Does it record my conversations?+−

No. It listens for your existing certified alarms and alerts you when you’re away. Keep them in place.
Which sounds can it recognise?+−
Common categories include breaking glass, smoke and CO alarm tones, a crying baby, barking and coughing. We test each sound you choose during setup.
Does it need the internet?+−
Recognition and local responses work without internet. Phone alerts need a connection.
Is there a monthly fee?+−
No. Recognition and alerts work without a subscription.
